Mrs Jeffery spots a pair of Kaka!

It is so amazing to see these spectacular big parrots in our school neighbourhood. Local folklore tells us that they have actually been in our big beech tree in our Native Bush Garden about 5 years ago. So keep an eye out! I have seen them around upper Otonga for about a month now, mainly you can hear their screech, before you see them. It would be great to keep encouraging people to plant trees for birds, to keep them happy when they come to visit. Cool that DOC and the Daily Post were as excited as us. Thanks to Oscar for the fantastic photo, the one in the paper is the actual photo taken from his garden. From Mrs J
